Dear Mrs. Schmidt and Granddaughter Farrah,

We always felt Jon was a part of our family too. When we moved here at the beginning of Chris’s junior year of high school, Jon, Larry and several other students reached out to include Chris in their small group of friends. As you know, these guys have stayed close through all these years. We all feel deeply the loss of Jon.

Jon was a special guy to us, always with a smile and concern about how we were doing. It was always a brighter day after seeing Jon. Years earlier, he was so supportive of our younger son, Jeff, and made sure to include him in their activities.

You and your husband must have been wonderful parents to raise such a wonderful son.

May God be with you as you try to cope with this loss.
