SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - William Henry Overstreet, 71, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday morning, February 14, 2011, at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.

Born in Swainsboro, Georgia, he was a son of the late Leafease Overstreet and the late Emmalee Garrett Overstreet. Henry was of the Baptist faith and was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired welder.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Summers of Savannah, Georgia, and his brother, Clifford E. Overstreet of Lexington, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Watkins. Interment will be at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon in Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Swainsboro, Georgia.
