I only met Mike twice and the first thought in my mind was, "This is the nicest man I've ever met", and I've been around. I am so sorry for his family and friends. Mike, will see you again some day and I'm sure the hospitality level in Heaven just went from 4 to 5 stars.

I, like many in Savannah's hospitality industry, am still in shock over Mike's sudden passing. It was only a few weeks ago that I saw that bright smile and stood on my tip toes to hug his neck. He was always a source of entertainment, laughter and endless stories. With a true passion for our industry and our city...a hole will remain in his absence. God bless you Mike. May God comfort your family and friends during this difficult time.

Saddened and shocked at the very unexpected passing of a wonderful soul. I only knew Mike for a short time however, his joy for life, sense of humor and respect for all whose path he crossed was evident. Soon after starting his position as Gm at the Hampton Inn - Beaufort, he remarked "in no time, they will all love me". Mike, you were right! How could any not! God Bless.

I will miss chatting with Mike online and seeing him during St. Patricks day celebrations. He was one of the first people I met when I moved here 7 years ago. May there be comfort in the hearts of the family and friends knowing that he is truely at Peace.

To the family and friends of Mike, please accept my sincerest condolences and sympathies at this time of great loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mike in person--we had only communicated on line occasionally and he always kept in touch with his annual Christmas letter. Yet, I always knew he was such a kind and giving person and had looked forward to meeting him some day down the road. I hope I may still get to meet him one day down the end of the road of Life.........I know I'll have no trouble recognizing him as he will have a big, welcoming smile and open arms awaiting me and all of us.
