SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Thetis Finch Pike, 82, widow of Edgar L. Pike, died Tuesday morning at Candler Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.

I came upon this obituary notice while searching for the son of this lady. Sadly, I found out that her son, and my dear friend Herbert L. Pike Sr. of Garden City Georgia had both now passed away. I haven't seen Mrs. Pike in about 20 years but I saw my dear friend Herbert Pike about 5 years ago or so.
I lived in their neighborhood as a child in Savannah, Ga. Mrs. Pike had a rough life trying to raise Herbert and Edgar alone. However, she did the best she could and I know Herbert was to me a true friend. I wish I would have gotten to see them both atleast one more time before this all happened. I'll never forget them and in my memory my best childhood buddy Herbert L. Pike and His Mother Mrs. Thetis Pike will remain!
My condolences go out to Edgar Pike and the family of Herbert L. Pike Sr. I believe he left behind a wife and some wonderful children. May God keep you all safe until you meet Herbert and Mrs. Pike again!
