STEPHEN DOUGLAS "TIGER" COLEMAN

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Stephen Douglas “Tiger” Coleman, 52, of Savannah, Georgia, died Tuesday afternoon, April 20, 2010, at his home.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, he was a son of Violet Marie Kivette Coleman and the late Connie Brock “Chuck” Coleman. Tiger was of the Baptist faith and was a graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School. He retired as a field technician in testing management for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Tiger was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his mother, Marie Kivette Coleman of Savannah, Georgia; one sister, Sandra “Sandy” Ward of Savannah, Georgia; two brothers, Richard B. “Rick” Coleman of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and R. Bruce Coleman and his wife, Susan, of Savannah, Georgia; six nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 Friday morning at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Enoch L. Hendry.  Interment will be private.

I was shocked to hear about Steve. We have so many good family memories of Tybee, family cookouts and just plain fun times. My love and sympathy to Marie, Sandy, Ricky and Bruce. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
