SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Russell “Rusty” Allen Sego, Sr., 58, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday morning, July 17, 2010, at Candler Hospital.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, Rusty was an avid fisherman and hunter. He worked as a rigger and rigger foreman in the ship repair industry. Rusty was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Francis Sego, Jr.

Surviving are two sons, Russell “Rusty” A. Sego, Jr. of Byron, and Kyle Sego (Melissa) of Savannah; his mother, Mildred Sego of Savannah; his father, Lloyd Francis Sego, Sr. of Ellabell; one sister, Janet Sego Lee (Larry) of Savannah; two brothers, Gary Sego (Colette) of Stilson and Michael Sego (Maxine) of Bloomingdale; his sister-in-law, Gale Sego of Savannah; four grandchildren, Caleb, Travis, Seth and Savana Sego; one half-sister, Brenda Croom (Skip) of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews; his best friend and former spouse, Diane Sego of Savannah, and his faithful canine companion, Max.
