MIDWAY, GEORGIA - Neva “Nonie” Jeanne Lenora Thomas, 71, of Midway, Georgia, widow of Thomas James Thomas, Sr., died Wednesday morning, April 7, 2010, at Hospice Savannah.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Austin Griffing and the late Neva Warren Griffing. Mrs. Thomas was of the Catholic faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Tami Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Thomas J. Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Irma, of Midway, Georgia, and four grandchildren, Shannon McKenzie, Theresa McKenzie, Thomas “Tommy” Thomas III and Anna Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Mr. Dewain E. Smith.  Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
