MICHAEL DOUGLAS WOOTEN

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Michael Douglas Wooten, 44, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday evening, October 10, 2011, at his home.

Born in Patuxent River, Maryland, he was the son of Sybil Goodrich Wooten and the late Douglas “Doug” Harvey Wooten. Michael was of the Baptist faith and was owner/operator of Top Notch Home Improvements.

Survived by his mother, Sybil Goodrich Wooten of Savannah, Georgia; one sister, Sherri Locke and her husband, Stanley, of Fleming Island, Florida; three nephews, Aaron Locke of Fleming Island, Florida, Ryan Locke of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and Brandon Locke of Fleming Island, Florida; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Thursday at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o’clock Friday morning in South Newport Baptist Church (Highway 17, South Newport) conducted by The Reverend Charles “Shorty” Wallace, Thomas Goodrich and Johnny Skipper. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery on Jones Road.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Hartley, Stanley Locke, Johnny Skipper, Aaron Locke, Ryan Locke and Brandon Locke.
