MARY LOU BOOTEN WHITE

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Mary Lou Booten White, 81, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Edgar Eugene “Gene” White, died Tuesday evening, September 20, 2011 at Candler Hospital.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Born in Williamson, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Frank Booten and the late Alma Pauly Booten. Mrs. White was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She loved and spent as much time as possible with her family, especially her grandchildren.  In addition to her husband of 58 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Jim Booten and Dennis S. Booten. 

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Kaye Shellhamer and her husband, Edward, of Savannah; her son, Steven White and his wife, Jamie, of Savannah; three grandchildren, Karen White, Taylor Shellhamer and Seth Shellhamer; her brother in-law, Danny White and his wife, Bobbie, of Tennessee; four nephews, Tim White, Eddie White, Michael White and Ellis Bond, and one niece, Marian Bolton and her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Lorry.
 
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Michael Locklear.  Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
