SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Mary Leighton O’Donnell, 75, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of Richard Carlin O’Donnell, died Friday morning, February 5, 2010, at Spanish Oaks Retreat.

Born in Augusta, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Herbert Leighton and the late Adrienne Theberge Leighton. Mrs. O’Donnell was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Richard Carlin O’Donnell of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Sheila Fortner and her fiancé, Tony Nichols, of savannah, Georgia; one son, Tom O’Donnell and his wife, Beth, of Jarrettsville, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Summer Fortner, Allison Nichols, Tiffany Nichols, Erin O’Donnell, Ryan O’Donnell, Sean O’Donnell, Brenna O’Donnell, Glynnis O’Donnell and Brianne O’Donnell, and one sister, Martha Tofferi of Seattle, Washington.

A private family service will be held for Mary.
