Lillian, you asked me one morning if the Lord sent me to you, and I said yes he did. I was wrong, he sent you to all of us. Thank you for teaching, sharing, and all the encouragement you have given to me and my family. You taught us what it is to be a Spirit filled Christian. We love you Ms. Lillian Kennedy, you are the dearest friend I have ever had. I will miss you so, but I know I will see you again, in the field of lilies where you are now, looking down at this wonderful day that the Lord has made. Thank you Jesus for letting our lives pass and giving us this season to remember forever. Lillian, I know it was a Hap…. We love you forever and a day. -Connie and Bill

Aunt "Yunnie" was kind and sweet to me when I was a child. Although I was just one of her many nieces and nephews, she brought me to her home several summers so I could be a companion to her daughters, my cousins Brenda and Pam. I will always cherish her sunny smile. As I recall her in her younger years, she was a strong and independent woman who always stayed true to her faith in God. My sincerest condolesences to Pam and Brenda. May you find peace in your hearts in remembering your Mom and may you find comfort to ease your loss.

Our Precious Little Lillian - is what we call her. Tiny in stature but a giant in faith. Thinking on the last month, we can easily see how she was preparing for her journey to be with the Lord. Many times she would say - "this is the time for worship and praise". Several of us sat down to do just that with her as the sun flowed in from the opened deck door, looking out onto her "Garden of Eden". There were a few tapes that she had been listening to and she wanted to share them with us. We know that she's worshiping at His feet now. If she had a chance to return to us - we believe she would say that she's home.

Many times she wondered why an "old lady" like herself was still here. Lillian was here for many, many people. Her purpose was to introduce Jesus' love to everyone she met - and she did.

And our lives are richer because of Lillian B. Kennedy. We are better people because our paths have crossed.
Lillian could always see things in us no one else could see, and she would always say to me(R0n) "your period of incubation" is over, get on with what God has for you. She always saw more in us than we did. We were comforted in the fact that we knew Lillian was always praying for us.

Miss Lilian is an angel in my eyes, she got her wings many years ago. The short time I have known her, I have learned so much about our Lord Jesus Christ and life it self from her. Her and I use to study the bible together, she would encourage me to pray out loud. One evening her and I were praying together and she began to speak in tongues and it startled me at first and she grabbed my hand and I felt the Holy Ghost and started to speak in tongues myself and felt the Glory of the Lord. I could feel her prayers for me. Every time I cut her grass she would have a glass of ice water waiting on me when I was done, then we would sit and talk awhile. But one day I seen her mad, I was blowing her roof off and I could see Miss Lillian out of the corner of my eye waving a broom at me, I knew if I stopped she would make me get down. So when I came down, I was in trouble and I smiled the whole time and loved every minute of getting in trouble. My wife and I spent part of my 50th birthday with her and Ronnie and Linda Lanier, and it was a wonderful surprise, seeing her little self running around it the house for my birthday. She i closer to my heart than any other person with the exception of my wife. We love and miss you Miss Lillian but we know you are home now and basking in the glory of our Lord I love that woman! Ms. Lillian was admired and was a huge inspiration to everyone that she came in contact with here at the nursing homes. She carried a huge smile, that showed how big her heart was. She was always a breathe of fresh when she came in the doors, and what a joy to get to spend time with someone so wonderful every week. She always saw the good in people and took extra time to spend with those residents that just needed a little more. We have truly lost someone who is very special and meant the world to the staff, the residents. Ms. Lillian was a true blessing to everyone that came into contact with her. We could never show enough apprieciation for the work that she did her at the nursing homes.
