PORT WENTWORTH, GEORGIA - L. H. Mills, 86, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, widower of Emma Ann Browder Mills, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011, at Hospice Savannah.

Mr. Mills was born in Green Sea, South Carolina and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was retired from CSX as a railroad construction foreman. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger, and an infant son.

Surviving are; two sons, Anthony Mills and his wife, Maryann, of Brunswick, Georgia, and Wayne Mills, of Savannah, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jennifer Cucurullo and her husband, Anthony, Tammy Mills, Ashley Mills Gay and her husband, Tony, Melissa Harris and her husband, Darrell, Priscilla Mills, and Jason Mitchell; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning in First Baptist Church of  Port Wentworth conducted by The Reverend John D. Ashworth. Interment will be in Newton Cemetery in Pooler.
