Please accept my condolences. I met Kate thru Clemson Extenson. She worked in the Dillon County Extension Office and I work in the Marlboro County Office. Sometimes I work also in the Dillon Extension Office and would see Kate after she retired either out in the community or when she would stop by the Dillon Extension Office. Always enjoyed talking with her and also Ernest when I would see him.

Ray, you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this part of life's journey. I wanted to share a fond remembrance of Lillie Kate. JFK was assasinated but the Gators were playing for a state championship at an away game. Lillie Kate and Ernest took us and we had lots of fun. She had a special "way with words" and was way ahead of her time as far as women's rights were concerned. Guess Aunt Eva had something to do with that. Will miss her and am ever so grateful for the short visit we had with the two of you last year.
