I only met Jeanne one time, in Chapel Hill, and was immediately struck by the sunshine emitted from her face. She seemed full of positive energy and absolutely beamed when around her son, Michael Hanson. We were introduced by him, my best friend. Jeanne must have done a lot of things right in her mothering, given the kind-hearted, passionate, deeply grateful human he is. He loved her in a powerful way, and that is something I wish I saw more often. Thank you Jeanne for putting Michael on this earth - you will be sorely missed by him.

To all of the family...my sympathy and good wishes. I know that it is hard to lose a loved one, and that at this time you especially cherish each other and the many good memories you have.

You will remain in my thoughts,

You all have our sincerest sympathy in your loss. I have known Jeanne since C&S Bank days. She was a great mom, grandmother, and friend. My favorite times with her were those spent in my ladies tap class. Jeanne will be truly missed.
