As a friend and golf partner of Jim's, I am saddened by his passing and will miss him a lot but I think Jim will want to be remembered by the smile he had on his face as he was telling us a story and the smiles we had on our faces as we listened.

I was shocked to see Jim's name in the paper this morning. It seemed only yesterday that I was chatting with him in the Fitness Center. In earlier years I always enjoyed golfing with him. He was a very likable, upbeat gent with a dry sense of humor.

Dear Anne and the rest of the Donahue Family,

It was with much shock and sadness to hear of Jim's death. At the same time, I remember all the very good times I had at the Donahue's home in Laguna Beach with our faith sharing meetings. I always enjoyed their company, the hospitality and fellowship. Jim would tell me about all the latest appearances he had on various TV shows and movies. Anne and Jim were personally involved in my vocation to priesthood as we did ministry together at St. Catherine, and I just want to say that Jim and Anne were marvelous witnesses to Christian discipleship. May Jim rest in peace with the Lord and may our shared faith be a source of strength, encouragement and joy for Anne and Jim's grieving family. God bless you and I miss you.

Dear Anne - Our hearts are saddened to learn of Jim's passing. You and him have blessed our family in so many ways through your friendship, hospitality, teaching us the Catholic faith as well as through Jim's humor during our social & faith sharing times at St. Catherine's in Laguna. I will always remember a one-time golf foursome of Jim, you, Wally O'Hara and me. Plus, our many wonderful faith sharing events at your home in Laguna...What a wonderful man Jim is...and while he has moved up to God's house now...I am sure he is watching over all of us with a smile. I know we will see Jim again in Heaven or sooner on a rerun of a TV show with Jim walking by in the background. Anne, may God bless you during this very difficult time. God Bless you and the rest of the Donahue family. Love, The Manion Family (Lisa, Mark, Luke & Meghan Manion)
