Gerald was a special friend to all of us in the Age In Motion group that rode together for years at Hunter. Midway through our rides 4-6 of us would take a break on the porch at the golf club and solve all the world's problems. I remember how Gerald reveled in these light hearted discussions of politics, religion and the good old days. We'll miss you buddy.

Dear "G"..."Jezul"

You went by many names, but I will always remember you as DAD! You could not have been a better father and role model to me. You were a wonderful, caring and kind soul who touched so many lives and played such a big part in so many lives!! You would surely enjoy the stories being told about you as our family observes the ritual of "sitting" shiva. So many people have contacted the family to express their sadness at your passing, while at the same time expressing the profound joy they found in the relationships made with you.

I will do everything in my power to live up to the standards that you set for being a man, father, grandfather and leader. I am so thankful that I was able to spend the last few weeks of your life with you and will cherish our time together. The family is going to be okay and we will not let you down. Your spirit and internal strength is being shared with Lini, Shelley, Donna and the rest of the family. You had a profound effect on Katie, Marc and Jacob and we love you with all of our hearts and souls!! Rest in Peace and continue to guide us and look over us!!!!!!!

With love and admiration,
Irwin..."Irv"

"G"
What is the measure of a man but the legacy that he leaves behind. You "G" have left quite a legacy!!!! The most simple words "He was a good man!", a simple statement yet so very powerful!!! Not everyone gets to meet a good man, let alone have such a man for a father in-law. You have taught me much!! What a good man means to me: A good man is a man that stands behind his words. A good man puts his family and friends before himself. A good man shares a smile when a loved one is brought to tears and needs that smile the most. A good man provides for his family while never sacrificing his integrity even when life gets tough. A good man shares his insights and wisdom and provides direction to his loved ones when the right direction is not yet known. A good man stands up for what is right not just with words yet with action even when it may not be popular. A good man never forgets that his first love is to G-d and allows G-d to direct his days. A good man can be counted on to be there for a loved one to share stories and life experiences and enjoy a laugh or two. A good man does not judge but gently directs. A good man stands strong and fights the good fight!

You "G" have blessed me, Irwin, Marc and Jacob with many memories and we love you and will always love you. What I most thank you for is being the kind of man that has taught Irwin how to walk in your footsteps!! You have lead by example and I know between Irwin and you guiding the way, you both will lead Marc and Jacob down a path worthy of the "Pollack" name. I cannot thank you enough for what you have given our boys, your grandsons! Whenever they hear of Gerald Pollack, thier Grandfather they can stand with pride and carry on the legacy thier grandfather through example has proudly put before them. I beleive they will be worthy one day as they grow into men to proudly call themselves a "Pollack" sons of, Irwin Pollack, Grandsons of Gerald Pollack!!!!! I will never be able to thank you enough for that!!!! I love you "G" and will always remember the laughs and tears we shared!!!!! "A good man simply stated can be none other than Gerald Pollack!!!" Love your daughter in-law, proudly, Katie Pollack
