SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Georgette Roxey LaBraney, 61, of Savannah Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, January 16th, 2011, at Memorial University Medical Center.

Originally from Concord, NH she moved to Savannah GA in the late 90’s to be with her daughters, Lylia and Ginger. Georgette was a Loving Mother to her three children, Lylia, Ginger and Frank Junior, and a very loving Grandmother to her three grandkids, Brooke, Katrina and Nicholas, and a loving sister to Josie. She would always put herself last, giving up things for herself to make sure her kids and grandkids had things she never had growing up. She would try her best to help anyone in anyway she could. Georgette, known to everyone as “Mom”, will be missed more than words could ever express.

Georgette was best known for her green thumb, and usually could be found outside working in her flower garden. She would pull her garden cart from one flowerbed to the next, watering and tending her flowers. She would recycle old milk jugs or any container she could to use as a flowerpot.  Everyone loved her flowers and her unique way of planting them. If she was not outside working in the garden you would find her inside watching movies, especially Disney movies; She loved seafood and desserts, she loved animals and had many pets. She would never be seen without her bandanna or her belt pouch, and would always speak her mind.

Georgette was preceded in death by her parents, George & Georgianna, her daughter Roxeanne, her sister Bonnie, and her brothers George and Tex.

Her family and friends loved her dearly, and she will be deeply missed.

A private memorial service was held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, January 22, 2011, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service.
