I am very sad to hear of Gary's death. When we were young Gary and I were good friends. We played together on the Country Day basketball team, and what a player he was! All-City. I always enjoyed his banter when we played poker in high school. One summer in college Gary roomed with me and 3 other guys in Atlanta. We later travelled to Paris with Sam Tenenbaum and had alot of laughs. I visited Gary at work in the Presidio and in Milledgeville, and got to see the good work he was doing. He was passionate about injustices that he saw. I will miss him more than ever. My regards to his brothers.
