I met Don in 1968 after moving to Savannah from New Mexico. At that time he was teaching karate at the YMCA on Habersham St. He became my second instructor and remanined so until 1971 when I entered the Marine Corps. If it wasn't for Don keeping the spirit of karate alive in Savannah, those who studied under him would have been poorer for it. He is responsible for many great memories that are shared by a group of 'kids' that went on to live productive and positive live's - Carson Watts, Mike Robbins, Ronnie Paul, Bob Loy and many others owe 'Sensei' Ogle a great deal. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.
