There will NEVER be another like him. Such an amazing gentleman! So generous with his time and always willing to help others and offer positive words of encouragement. He had a tremendous impact at the Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial and inspired many patients there. David made a significant impact on my life as well and I will be forever thankful for that. I'll always cherish the great memories and laughs we had together. I know he is in Heaven. The entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers. David, I will never forget you.

David had many talents, but his upbeat personality and sense of humor were his trademarks. A little time with David could change a bleak day into a good day. It was a priviledge and a pleasure to have David as a friend, and I am left with pleasant memories of good times. My condolences to the family- your wonderful memories will dull your loss.

David touched so many of our lives as a patient on Rehab and as a volunteer so very willing to accommodate the needs of anyone ahead of himself. He spoke highly of all of his sons and with a smile that would make them each very proud. You could see him quietly speak with other patients in an effort to uplift their spirits. Within the past two weeks he spoke of helping another individual who was led down the wrong path to perhaps become a volunteer on The Rehabilitation Institute. David always stated that his kids could never believe he "stuck with the rehab thing" for so long and with such enthusiasm, and he always ended that sentence by stating with that larger than-life- smile "I love it!"
We love you, too David--May you rest in peace!

Its been said that everlasting friends can go long periods of time without speaking and never question the friendship. These types of friends pick up like they just spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live, and they don't hold grudges. They understand that life is busy..but you will ALWAYS love them.

I love his profile picture...he loved his children and they loved him back. His Alltel family knew every exciting thing going on in their lives and he was so proud of his Children and his family. He loved so hard and enjoyed a good laugh too. He made sure to feed me something from his fridge at work if I didn't have anything to eat...Love you like my brother!
