I've been thinking back on all the fun we had as kids. I remember all of us (helen, rozzie, kathy, kimmy, christy and jimmy too) at ya'lls house on 48th street. We'd put on Beatles music and everyone would sing and dance all the latest dances. I was so sad when ya'll moved to Virginia. Knew I'd miss Christy especially. So sorry for your loss. She was a sweetheart.

I pray God will keep his loving hands open to you and your family. You have lost a beautiful daughter, sister and mother. We, her friends and co-workers, will always remember her kindness, consideration, and love. She was a very naturally talented person and met every challenge with strength and determination.
I worked with her at Alltel from 92-97. I don't know what year she married Stuart, but my brother, a part time shrimper, provided the fresh shrimp for her bridesmaid luncheon. When she and Stuart had settled in as husband and wife, she started an annual Christmas party at their house (same one in Windsor Forest). The enclosed garage became a craft room and it was their that we made these crafts from scratch with her and Stuart's help. When finished they were numbered and then pulled from a basket and it was yours. If you didn't make one and wanted one, no problem. She and Stuart knew how to host a warm, friendly get together.
Beautiful house decorations (mostly made by her and/or Stuart)lots of food, and learning the latest dance craze. The last one I remember sounded something like Macaroni, the real name escapes. After I left Alltel in 97 and soon after Stuart's death, we did not meet up. But, I can tell you this, when I am in Windsor Forest I always pass by the street to her house and these same memories surface again. I am so glad they are hidden in my heart. Christy was a blessing to every one she met or touched. Savannah, everyone has suffered a great loss. I pray she is in the presence and comfort of Jesus Christ.

Christy and I did not do things together after school when we were young, but we were friends at school, took many of the same classes, and graduated together. When I realized that Christy was Christy Palmer, I burst out crying. She was a lovely and kind person when I knew her, and I suspect she continued to be by what is written here. What a far cry from the hope and love of our own age this world has become.

Christy and I were close friends in junior high at WFHS. We met in Girls' Chorus class. This was in the late 60's - early 70's when Windsor Forest was such a good place to grow up. During summer she went with me and my family on a couple of camping trips. She went with us once to North Carolina and once to Jekyll Island. And one time later on, in high school, we went to a Citadel dance in Charleston and stayed with my aunt. My cousin had a heart condition which made her lips sometimes look blue. Christy didn't know about it, and innocently asked my cousin if she had been chewing grape gum and, if so, she needed to cover it up with some lip gloss. That was Christy. We later laughed about it in spite of ourselves.

We were constantly visiting back and forth from each other's houses. I remember seeing the family dog, Dumpy, for the first time. I had never seen a Saint Bernard before then so it was a real eye opening experience to get up close to one of those.

Christy could be a tomboy; we rode our bikes to the Little S and the WF pool, as well as one time when we sneaked my minibike out at 3:00 AM and rode all over Windsor Forest. At the same time, she always cared about her appearance and always looked put together, which wasn't hard since she had a lot of natural beauty.

What I remember most is that she had a very keen sense of humor and she would make me laugh at the most absurd observations. She was smart as a whip.

To the family, there are no words except I am sorry for your loss.

I just came back from deployment and my wife and I knew her through her art and met with her many times. She was a very talented woman and we acknowledge that everytime we look at The Kiss painting of hers we purchased sometime ago. She will be missed, but she'll continue to live on in our memories and through her artwork.
