My friend Charlie is holding court right now with Jack, Dave, Henry and Vic. I miss those times on the dock with good men like that, who could work hard and do a good job. I miss the stories and the laughs. I really miss Charlie going to his trunk and providing refreshments upon completion of the vessel. Thank you Charlie for helping guys like me out all those years ago. I'm sorry for your loss Barbara and family. We have missed him and will continue to do so.

To the family my condolences and my prayers. Charlie was very respected in the water front community. I had the pleasure of working with him in Savannah many years ago. Donnie is right on about him being with his friends and at peace with the world.

My sincere condolences to the Winston Family. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Charlie during my 18 year stay in Savannah. He was a real joy to be around and a very professional at work. As we were both former seafarers a lot of stories were told and enjoyed. I moved away from Savannah 15 years ago but still thought of your father fondly and often. God bless you all.

I know Scott from WF, and deep respect and love for his dad in the neighborhood for always having a great home to visit any time especially at holidays. He will be missed and his baseball love he passed down to little leagers like us, and his son & grandkids as a special legacy here in Savannah that will never forgotten!!

Very sad to hear of his passing. I too, will remember his love of sports and playing with and against his teams as we grew up as kids in little league. He and my father knew each other well. Was always a blast to be around and he will be missed by us all.
