BERNICE "BEEZY" RUTH ZELBOVITZ FORSTOT

                   

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Bernice “Beezy” Ruth Zelbovitz Forstot, 88, widow of William Lionel Forstot, died Friday morning, January 20, 2012, at Palmetto Richland Health in Columbia, South Carolina.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Philip Zelbovitz and the late Sarah Abramson Zelbovitz. Mrs. Forstot was an active member of Congregation Agudath Achim and was a life member of Hadassah. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was beloved by her entire family. She brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Forstot Altfeder.

Surviving are one daughter, Sheila Gendil and her husband, Steve, of Columbia, South Carolina; one son, Richard E. Forstot and his wife, Roslyn, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Andy Gendil and his wife, Julie, Jenny Wagner and her husband, Steven, Lauren Waldorf and her husband, Andrew, Abby Shashoua and her husband, Michael, Jody Clickner and her husband, Matt, Jeremy Altfeder and his wife, Nicole and Lisa McNeal and her husband, Sean; ten great-grandchildren, and one sister, Evelyn Feldman of Boston, Massachusetts.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Kenneth R. Leitner.

Dear Sheila and Richard and all your family members:

We were so very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. It was so fortunate that you had her close by the past few months. All the neighbors have such WONDERFUL things to say about her. We will keep her home lovely like she did. We hope if you visit Savannah you will come see us.
