Doris, Teri and Mitchell: I was very saddened to learn the news about Basil. He was always a friendly voice in our house and was genuinely interested in our lives, both as children and as adults. He was a keen observer of people and offered practical advice. He was so proud of all of you. I know he will be missed.

Assuming that this is the Basil that volunteered for so many years in the Emergency Dept. at Candler Hospital, he will be sorely missed. He gave so much of his time and talent in the ED-always willing to go over and beyond in helping us get through our day. He learned our system better then some of us knew it! He was a big part of our lives and our 'Candler ED family'.
Mine sincere sympathy goes to Doris and his family.
